WE WILL BE ALLOWING WALK-INS. THE NUMBER AVAILABLE WILL DEPEND ON CAPACITY.

We are proud to announce a free comic and gaming event in Mid-Missouri on April 20, 2013, from 10am til 10pm, The Midwest Geekfest! Sponsored by Carfax, the festival will include comics, cosplay and gaming of all varieties! A variety of local comic and gaming vendors will be on site. Many organizations will be present to represent all things geek! Panels and demonstrations will be hosted by local illustrators, authors, enthusiasts and businesses. Come participate in a Halo tournament or a pickup game of Settlers of Catan. Listen in on experts as they describe how to create characters for comics or how to write your own mini-comic! Learn the secrets of painting detailed miniatures or indulge in a short Warhammer skirmish. Show off your geekiest costume or try your hand at Dungeons & Dragons or HeroQuest. Blister your fingers in the arcade sponsored by the renewed Gunther’s Games! There is bound to be something to suit your fancy at the geekiest event in Columbia.

When it is all over. The dice are back in their pouch and the video games resting in their sleeves. DO NOT DESPAIR! Eastside Tavern will be hosting a Mega After Party and Awesome Costume Contest at 10p

Throughout the day we will host a myriad of panels, demos and tournaments. Artists and vendors will be showing and selling their wares in several areas until 7pm. Free snacks will be made available courtesy of Carfax and hot food will be available for purchase from three local food trucks in the parking lot.
